Ch-ch-ch-chaaanges

My lack of posting ends here. Now it's time to play catch-hup via Instagram. I wish I had images from a decent camera, as my phone is a raging POS, but it'll have to do. Bare with me.

From summer to winter...

blazer and shorts: Forever21, shirt: Urban Outfitters

jacket and maxi dress: H&M

hat and tank: Target, flannel: dad's :) pants: Forever 21, shoes: Go Jane

beanie and shirt: Target, pants: Forever21, shoes: Old Navy

That summer outfit was probably my favourite, I wore it a lot. The shorts were actually shear (shhhh), but skin coloured so you couldn't really tell... maybe. I hope not. And one of my absolute favourite purchases ever, an originally $60 shirt from UO that I got for $10. Nothing makes me happier than DEALZ. It's a beautiful billowy white top with cutouts on the side, it was so perfect for my visit to California in June.

That leopard maxi dress will be with me until it dies. Seriously. I am so in love with that thing I could die. My cost-per-wear has probably gone to fractions of pennies by now. Carries lovely into the winter paired with a military jacket (whom is worn just as much so it won't get jealous), and even some leggings for those really cold days.

That flannel get-up is probably one of my favourites of the fall. That was my dad's shirt that I stole and cut a few inches off. I'm kind down with the tatteredness. I've kinda been into rolling big sleeves up, too. Not usually my thing but I've been seeing it a lot lately, and am super into it. Sometimes it's the little things that go into styling that you forget about!

I was soooo warm in this last outfit! Another $10 shirt purchase from Target from one of their designer collections. I've been really drawn into blue this season, which is an absolute FIRST for me. I think I just really love the contrast of my blonde hair with dark blues. I wore this outfit during the day hanging out and doing errands, and later I switched to some cute flats to go out to dinner.
Also, beanies... obsession. Why have I waited so long to get into those?!

Baahstaan

shirt: sorta gifted, shorts: Marshall's, purse: gifted, sunnies: H&M Men, shoes: Converse, bracelet and ring: Target

Thanks to my friend for letting me borrow his baseball tee, then never returning it :) Now, being from Seattle, I really have no affiliation with Boston. I'm not really into baseball that much either. But I can pretend. That's what clothes are for anyway, right? This outfit was a lot more casual, as I was heading out to a baseball game and it was bloody hot out. Of course the blazer came in handy later when the wind kicked up. This clutch is one of my favourites, also. Thanks to big sister for giving it to me!
A couple of my coveted items: white chucks and aviators. I honestly could put them each together with every garment I own. Something about that coolness/rebel vibe that Converse convey, and aviators for a little masculinity (spoiler: I actually got these sunnies from the guys section).
Advice on jean shorts: never wear any this short. TOO MUCH. Just avoid it, even if you have amazing legs. Even an inch longer would be better!

Pain is weakness leaving the body

bracelets: Target and Forever 21, shirt: gifted, skirt: Forever 21, shoes: Go Jane

Couldn't have said it better myself.
I'm kind of into the scrub tees with cool pieces (and of course a red lip). My brother was in the Marines, and I was able to cop one of his old tees. I'm not sure about the skirt with the heels, I think it's a lil' too hoochymama. But hey, this is why I'm doin' this thang. I think paired with some sneakers would have been better, or maybe some jeans.
Regardless, I'm all about this shirt. If I could wear it every day without getting weird looks like is she homeless or was she home schooled, etc., I would. So comfy, so worn in. My favourite.
For other looks, throw on a blazer, or maybe a military jacket and an a-line skirt, tights, boots. The possibilities are endless.
Side note: I also feel like a badass when I wear this, really ups my confidence ;)

Goodwill Wonderland

shirt: thrifted, shorts: Forever21, shoes: Amazon, bracelets: Target, H&M, Forever 21

This genius mix of mumu meets old granny meets cat lady meets kimono meets teen hipster of a shirt totes floats my boat (say that five times fast). It's everything a big shirt should be and everything you would expect to find at a Goodwill. $3 hollaaaa!

Here's my Goodwill shopping secret - look for the grossest stuff. No, I don't mean dingy, I mean if you look at something and make that weird uncomfortable face... try it on. One, it's fun to take pictures and laugh at how great an old 80's kitten patterned jacket is. Two, you'd be surprised... sometimes what's on the hanger just doesn't translate to your body, right? Well, the same can be said for it being awesomely translated. It's all about how you wear it, too, in term of confidence. If you feel like it's a bag on you, and it wasn't on purpose, it's gonna look like a freggen sack'a potatoes. If you pretend you meant to wear a giant ass old weirdly leopard spotted kimono shirt, you're gonna own it. Goodwill has some good stuff sometimes. And if you like cheap stuff like me, it's a goldmine. You just have to look, and try on things you would never ever go for.
Okay well, leopard. I go for leopard. Always. I have leopard everything (except an umbrella). So maybe look for a colour, or a print, or a style, and look for that only and disregard everything else. You might surprise yourself with your finds.

I've been wanting to shoot at this wall for a while, now. I walk past it everyday on my way to school, but being that it's 5:30 am and I'm rushing to catch my bus, it just never fits in. I finally made some time, and you will definitely be seeing it again. I love anything Alice in Wonderland (especially with Depp as the mad hatter mmm). It's fun but it's got an underlying darkness and mystery to it. I'm down for any graffiti, really, too. This city is full of it. It also makes me feel like a G.

Official Vancouver Canucks Tee, blazer: Forever 21, bra: Urban Outfitters, jeans: Wet Seal DIY, bracelets and shoes: Target

I was born in Vancouver, BC, so of course I love the Canucks. Can't wait for hockey season, this WILL be the year I go to a game without being in the middle of a riot.

I've recently been on this sports tee kick. We've sorta been having a summer in Seattle this year, and this was a good outfit for a 75 degree day. I leave at about 5:30 am for school, so I'm always shivering no matter what, but I'm sweating balls by the time I get out. Super frustrating having to carry a jacket on top of coffee on top of art boards on top of a bag. Yeesh. I'm a fan of blazers with ripped jeans, as well. I just love contrast, period.

Side note; this bra is the best thing in the world. For the chestier ladies out there, I know how frustrating this sheer trend can be. It IS possible to still have a pretty peek-a-boo bra with big tatas. It doesn't seem like it would hold the girls, but somehow it has magic woven in the lace. Swear. And it's only 16 clams.  Definitely the best summer closet addition, and it will deeefinitely be carried over into fall.

For those of you who love Vancouver, or would like to know more... check out this guys video:
